Atlantic Sires Stakes Fillies Featured at Summerside Raceway

Three Pink Bows edged out her competition in Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action Thursday evening at Red Shores Summerside Raceway.  The three year-old pacing filly captured the first of two $12,680 ‘A’ division events with driver Danny Romo in the bike.  The duo crossed the finish line in 1:58.3 for owners Tanya Tremblett of Sydney Mines, NS and Stevi Jardine of Georges River, NS.  Coming home a close second was Elm Grove Joanette and driver Kenny Arsenault and third place went to Thebigbamtheory and Ernie Laffin. 

The other ‘A’ division event on the race card went to  Jann Down and driver Gilles Barrieau in 1:59.3 for the Downey Stables of Quispamsis, NB.  Woodmere Articblue and driver Danny Romo placed second and Miss Oromocto and Mark Haig came home third. 

Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action continues Friday evening when the three-year-old pacing colts tackle the Summerside oval.  First race post time is 7 pm.
