Three-year-old Fillies Head To Inverness Raceway

It will be the last opportunity for the three-year-old fillies to earn points to secure their spot for the Atlantic Breeders Crown Weekend. Fourteen fillies will face off in two divisions racing for a purse of $10,220.  More importantly, there is a tight race for the final spots into the Atlantic Breeders Crown Final. The top eight-point getters earn their spot in the ABC final on October 9, 2022, at Red Shores Charlottetown.

The Real Princess has dominated the Atlantic Sire stake season and sits top-of-the-point standing with 18 points, she has been perfect on the AtSS circuit and has guaranteed her spot in the Atlantic Breeders Crown Final. Her race season has seen her go to the gate 12 times and she sits with 12 consecutive wins.

The first division goes off as Race 4 and has Inverness-owned Cougar On A Terror (D Gillis) as the morning line favorite.   Woodmere Jazz (Mark Peezzarello) and Kcs Starlite (S Trites)  round out the top three.    Race 8 sees favorite The Real Princess (C Macpherson) leave from the rail position guarding her win streak.  Another local Inverness contender JJ Scarlett (Redmond Doucette)  leaves post 3 and  Tobins Diva (J Kennedy) leaves post 4 as the other two-morning line favorites.
