Three Year Old Fillies Debut in Truro

Three Divisions of A fillies made their first start at Truro Raceway Friday July 2, 2021.

In the first A Division Mystifying in line to Gilles Barrieau crossed the line first in a time of 157.2 for trainer Darryl Maclean who co owns with Gordon Maclean and Stephen Downey.  Elm Grove Penny finished second while Woodmere Stella finished up third.

The second A Division saw Tobins Brownie continue on her winning ways in 157.3 for trainer/driver David Dowling.  Tobins Brownie is owned by James Quinn, Carl Peterson, Amy Katherine and Brittany Watts.  Aspoonfulofsugar and Vicky Everyday rounded out the top three finishers.

Southfield Skye in line to Marc Campbell went on to win the final A Division in 157.2  She is a homebred of Southfield Farms Inc. and trained by Glenn MacKay.   Woodmere Vanish finished second while Woodmere Leah rallied for the third spot.

The lone B Division saw Saulsbrook Jewel earned a new mark in 201.3  for driver Gerard Kennedy. Saulsbrook Jewel is owned by Terri Morrison and Irwin Claener.     After placings Magical Little Bear and Woodmere Cha Cha were the other top two finishers.

 

The 3 year old fillies meet again Friday July 9, 2021 in Summerside during Governor’s Plate Week.
