Atlantic Sires Stakes Colts Clock Fast Times at Northside Downs  

Atlantic Sires Stakes three-year-old pacing colts clocked some record breaking miles at Northside Downs in North Sydney on Saturday afternoon. 
 
The Rev and driver-trainer Danny Romo set a new track record for three-year-old colts and a new personal best of 1:55.3.  The Rev is owned by Robert Skinner, Truro, NS, Jeffery Skinner Hammonds Plains, NS, Stephen Tufts, Truro, NS, and GLB Stable, Lakeview, NS.
 
Jacobs Jackpot took first place honours in another Atlantic Sires Stakes ‘A’ division event with Ryan Campbell in the bike in a time of 1:55.4. This is a new lifetime mark for the colt owned by James and Russell Copley of Inverness, NS. 
 
The third ‘A’ division event on the afternoon race card went to Beach Paradise and driver Danny Romo.  The duo crossed the finish line in 1:55.4 setting another personal best for owners Debbie Francis, Malcolm Isnor and Peter Francis of Windsor, NS.
 
Meanwhile driver Clare MacDonald captured both ‘B’ division events with Mr Monday, owned by Riley Farms and Earith Riley of Kensington PE, and Dynamic Datsyuk owned by Morah Kerr of Greenfield, NS and Clare MacDonald of Antigonish, NS.
 
Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action heats up again next week with a full slate of events scheduled for Lobster Carnival Week at Red Shores Summerside Raceway.
