Trotters Featured at Inverness Raceway

The Atlantic Sires Stakes two and three-year-old trotters were featured at Inverness Raceway Friday afternoon and into the evening.

My Daisy Duke and driver Corey MacPherson captured the first of two events for three-year-old trotters for owner Jonathan MacDonald of North Wiltshire, PE.  The second three-year-old event went to Sweetwater Rukkus with Jack Panting in the bike for owner Ralph Annear of Montague, PE.

Meanwhile, Irish Lullaby and driver Daniel MacDonald took first place honours in the first two-year-old event for owner Boyd MacDonald Produce Ltd. of Crapaud, PE and Daniel Ross of Belfast, PE.  The other two-year-old event went to West River Xcel and driver Clare MacDonald of West River Stock Farm of Antigonish, NS.

Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action returns to Inverness Raceway on Sunday afternoon when the two-year-old pacing colts meet for competition.  Three ‘A’ divisions will each go for a purse pool of $7320 and a lone ‘B’ division will go for $2500.

First race post time on Sunday is 1:30 pm.
