Stakes Filled Card for Inverness Raceway

August 4, 2016

It will be a stakes filled day at Inverness Raceway on Sunday afternoon, as a total of six Atlantic Sires Stakes events are slated for the afternoon race card.

Two divisions of the two-year-old pacing fillies will each go for a $9600 purse pool as the fillies battle it out for Atlantic Sires Stakes points in their third meeting this race season.  Leading point earners Kinda Like Her and Electra Express have drawn into the same division and will no doubt put on a good showing on Sunday.

The two and three-year-old Atlantic Sires Stakes trotters will also meet in four divisions of the Meridian Farms sponsored trotting events.  All the trot events on the afternoon card will go for over $8000 in purse money, as the trotters also seek points for entry into the Atlantic Breeders Crown Championship Finals.

First race post time on Sunday is 1:30 pm.
