Northside Downs to Host Atlantic Sires Stakes Colts and Fillies

With sunny skies in the forecast, Northside Downs will play host to the Atlantic Sires Stakes three-year-old pacing colts and fillies on Saturday afternoon.

The Atlantic Sires Stakes performers were slated to have met for racing competition last weekend in North Sydney, but the race card was cancelled due to forecasted post-tropical storm Arthur and potentially unsafe track conditions.

The Saturday afternoon race card will see two divisions of the ‘A’ pacing fillies each go for a purse pool of $9120.

Meanwhile, the colts will compete in three ‘A’ divisions for the winner’s share of the $7040 purses.

The colts and fillies will also each go in two ‘B’ divisions for purses of $2500 per dash.

Points earned in each Atlantic Sires Stakes ‘A’ division pacing event go towards securing a coveted spot in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championship.

First race post time at Northside Downs on Saturday is 12
  noon.
