Atlantic Sires Stakes Trotters Show Talent in  Charlottetown

It was the Atlantic Sires Stakes trotters turn to showcase their talents on Tuesday afternoon at Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park as part of Old Home Week racing action.
 
Oceanview Kate crossed the finish line in 2:02.3 taking first place honours in her three-year-old event.  The trotting filly was driven by Mike Stevenson and is owned and trained by William Roloson of Belfast,
PE.
 
The second three-year-old event went to Taliesin and driver-trainer Marc Campbell in a time of 2:04.  The bay trotting gelding is owned by Buntainwood Farm of Brackley Beach, PE.
 
Meanwhile, the two-year-old trotters also had an opportunity to shine with Bo Digger and driver-trainer Marc Campbell winning the first of two divisions.  The duo finished their mile in 2:06.3 for owner Zackery MacEwen of Stratford, PE.
 
The second two-year-old event on the race card went to Dusty Lane Galaxy and driver Gary Chappell in 2:07 for owners Peter Buchanan, North Wiltshire, PE, and the Estate of George Boswall of Frenchfort, PE.
 
Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action will continue at the Charlottetown Driving Park on Wednesday evening when the two-year-old pacing colts meet for competition and the two-year-old pacing fillies will gather on Thursday afternoon.
