Atlantic Sires Stakes Trotters and Pacers Featured in Truro

A strong contingent of Atlantic Sires Stakes trotters and pacers were featured at Truro Raceway on Tuesday evening, as part of Atlantic Grand Circuit Week harness racing action.
 
Pappy Go Go and driver Marc Campbell captured their two-year-old Meridian Farms trot division for owner Grayland Farm of Pugwash, NS.  Meanwhile B J Lorado and Paul Lanigan took first place honours in their two-year-old trot event for owner Bert Honkoop of Montague, PE.
 
The three-year-old Meridian Farms trot events went to Mr Bower and Kenny Arsenault for owner Wade Peconi, Stanchel, PE, and to Glencove Zani and Leonard McGuigan for owner-trainer Edward Smallwood, Stratford PE.
 
The Atlantic Sires Stakes two-year-old pacing fillies also showed what they are made of in several ‘A’ and ‘B’ division events.  Elecktra Express, under the command of Marc Campbell, won her ‘A’ division event for owner Danica Ellis of Brookfield, NS.
 
Kinda Like Her and Kenny Arsenault crossed the finish line first in their $7240 event for owner the Dooley Boys Racing Stable of Halifax, NS, and Woodmere Dreams and Gilles Barrieau crossed the line in 2:00.1 for Doug and Jamie Hill, PE.
 
The three ‘B’ division events went to Heres The Beach (Corey MacPherson), Georgie Rose (Gary Chappell) and Positive Outcome (Darren Crowe).
 
Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action continues at Truro Raceway on Thursday evening with the two-year-old pacing colts.  First race post time is 7 pm.
