Atlantic Sires Stakes to be Featured During Old Home Week

The legendary Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park, known as the Kentucky of Canada, will play host to some incredible harness racing action during Old Home Week celebrations beginning this weekend.

Included in the harness racing lineup will be a full slate of Atlantic Sires Stakes events.  The  three-year-old pacing fillies will meet for competition on Saturday afternoon in a total of six Atlantic Sires Stakes ‘A’ and ‘B’ division events.  First race post time on Saturday is 1 pm.

On Monday the three-year-old pacing colts will line up behind the starting gate in seven separate divisions on the afternoon race card.

The two and three-year-old trotters will be the highlight of Wednesday’s racing action, followed by the two-year-old pacing colts and fillies on Thursday and Friday respectively.

Points earned in each Atlantic Sires Stake ‘A’ division and each trotting event go towards securing a coveted spot in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championships.  This year’s event will be hosted by Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park October 12 and 13.
