Atlantic Sires Stakes Performers Continue to Invade Summerside Raceway

Atlantic Sires Stakes harness racing action has been fast and furious at Red Shores Summerside Raceway this week during the annual Lobster Carnival Week activities.

The two and three-year-old trotters, as well as the two-year-old pacing colts and fillies, have already met for action.  The performers have clocked some impressive times while making their first appearance in Atlantic Sires Stakes events this season.  Points earned in each ‘A’ division pacing event and all trotting events go towards earning a coveted spot in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championship.

This evening the three-year-old pacing fillies will have their chance to shine as four ‘A’ divisions each go for a purse pool of $7640 and four ‘B’ divisions round out the racing card.

On Saturday evening the three-year old pacing colts will take to the historic Summerside oval.  Two ‘A’ divisions will each go for a hefty purse of $12,620 and four ‘B’ divisions will each go for $2500.  In addition, the Governor’s Plate Invitational Pace will be another highlight on the 16 dash race program.

First race post time tonight is 7 pm at Red Shores Summerside Raceway.
