Atlantic Sires Stakes Fillies Impressive in Inverness

The Atlantic Sires Stakes two-year-old pacing fillies put on an impressive show at Inverness Raceway and were a highlight on the Wednesday evening card of racing.

Malabrigo and driver Marc Campbell captured the first of two $9020 “A” division events in a time of 2:00.3 for owner Greenoaks Farm of Mississauga, ON. 

The second “A” event on the race card went to Elm Grove Girlzone and driver Mark Bradley in a time of 2:01.3 for owner Jean Babtiste Turbide of Havre-Aux-Maisons, QC.

There were also two $2500 “B” division events on the evening race card with West River Willow and driver Kenny MacDonald taking first place honors for owners Clare and Rinaldo MacDonald of Antigonish, NS.  The second event went to Bossy Flossy and Marc Campbell for owner Jeff Lilley of Charlottetown, PE.

Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action continues Saturday afternoon at Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park when the three-year-old pacing fillies meet for action as part of the Old Home Week festivities on Prince Edward Island.
