Atlantic Sires Stakes Fillies Impress in Charlottetown

Ramblinglily continued her winning ways on Saturday afternoon at Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park.  The bay pacing filly captured one of three Atlantic Sires Stakes ‘A’ division events in 1:58.4 under the command of Brodie MacPhee.  This win leaves Ramblinglily at the top of the Atlantic Sires Stakes leader board, securing a spot in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championships.  The Articulator filly is owned by Allan Jones of Riverview, NB, and Normand Leger of Shediac, NB.

Western Judy crossed the finish line first in her $9540 ‘A’ division event in 1:58.1 with Marc Campbell in the bike for owner Blair Hansen of Charlottetown, PE.

Meanwhile, Whistys Paradise and driver Ernie Laffin took first place honours in their ‘A’ division event.  The duo clocked an impressive time of 1:57.1 for owner Christopher Laffin of Mill Village, NS.

Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action continues next week at Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park when the three-year-old pacing colts meet for some friendly competition on Monday afternoon.  First race post time is 1 pm.
