Atlantic Sires Stakes Fillies Heading to Truro Raceway

A large contingent of Atlantic Sires Stakes three-year-old pacing fillies are heading to Truro Raceway on Sunday for some serious harness racing action.

Thirty-three fillies are slated to race in four “A” divisions on the Sunday afternoon race card and two “B” divisions will round out the Atlantic Sires Stakes action.

This is the second time the fillies have met this season in an effort to capture points to earn a coveted spot in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown championship.  This year’s event will be hosted by Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park on October 6th and 7th.

Adding to the excitement at Truro Raceway will be driver Danny Romo’s attempt to capture his 3500th career win.  The Shubenacadie, NS, driver could achieve that milestone with a win on Sunday.

First race post time at Truro Raceway is 1:30 pm.
