Atlantic Sires Stakes Colts Feature of Opening Day at Inverness Raceway

Opening day at Inverness Raceway will feature the Atlantic Sires Stakes three year-old pacing colts on Sunday afternoon.

Two “A” divisions will each go for a purse pool of $10,220 and one “B” division will go for $2500.

The Atlantic Sires Stakes program is the oldest sires stakes program in Canada and has been promoting the sport of harness racing for over 45 years. 

The program showcases the best two and three-year old horses in the Maritimes and the 2012 season will culminate with the prestigious Atlantic Breeders Crown Championship.  This year’s event will be hosted by Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park on October 6th and 7th.

Post time on Sunday at Inverness Raceway is 1:30 pm.
