Atlantic Sires Stakes Colts Dominate at Charlottetown Driving Park

Untouchable One proved to indeed be untouchable in Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action on Monday at Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park.  The three-year-old brown pacing gelding captured the first of thee ‘A’ divisions on the afternoon race card in 1:55.2 with driver Gilles Barrieau in the bike.  Untouchable One was last season’s two-year-old Atlantic Sires Stakes champion and is owned by the Dooley Boys Racing Stable of Halifax, NS.
 
The second $8980 ‘A’ division event went to J B Bolt and driver Redmond Doucet in a time of 1:56.2 for owner Raymond MacKinnon of Inverness, NS.
 
Libertys Art and driver-trainer Jason Hughes took first place honours in the third and final ‘A’ division event in 1:57.2 for owner Donald Mac Rae of Vernon Bridge, PE.
 
Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action continues on Tuesday afternoon when the two and three-year-old trotters take to the legendary Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park as of part of Old Home Week festivities.  First race post time for the Tuesday afternoon card is 1 pm.
