Atlantic Sires Stakes 2014 Race Season Gets Underway Sunday

The much anticipated start of the 2014 Atlantic Sires Stakes race season will get underway on Sunday afternoon at Truro Raceway.  
 
The opening event of the season will see two ‘A’ divisions of the three-year-old pacing fillies each compete for a the winner’s share of the $9720 purse.  Two ‘B’ divisions will round out the afternoon race card.
 
Points accumulated in every Atlantic Sires Stakes ‘A’ division event go towards securing a position in the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championship.  This year’s Atlantic Breeders Crown will be hosted by Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park October 11 and 12.
 
First race post time at Truro Raceway on Sunday is 1:30 pm.
