The best two and three-year-old pacers and trotters from the Maritimes will be showcased during Old Home Week harness racing action at Red Shoes at the Charlottetown Driving Park over the next week.  A full slate of Atlantic Sires Stakes events will take centre stage at the historic Charlottetown oval.

Saturday afternoon’s racing action will include the three-year-old pacing fillies, with two ‘A’ divisions each going for an impressive purse pool of $12,980.  Three $2500 ‘B’ divisions of the pacing fillies will round out the afternoon card of racing.  First race post time on Saturday is 1 pm.

Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action continues on Monday at the Charlottetown Driving Park when the three-year-old pacing colts have their chance to shine.  A total of six divisions of the pacing colts will be showcased on the afternoon race card which begins at 1 pm.

Tuesday’s race card will include the two and three-year old Atlantic Sires Stakes-Meridian Farms trotting events.  Meridian Farms, Atlantic Canada largest Standardbred breeding operation, is  a major sponsor of the Atlantic Sires Stakes trotting events.  The two-year-old trotters will go in three divisions and the three-year-old trotters will meet in two divisions.
